Ephémère Black Currant and maple syrup waffle

Ingredients:

Waffle

  • 2 ¼ cups of flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup of maple syrup
  • 3 oz of butter
  • 1 small (12 oz.) bottle of Ephémère Blackcurrant
  • 2 oz. of sugar
  • Salt to taste
Waffle Sauce
 
  • 1 small (12 oz.) bottle of  Ephémère Blackcurrant
  • 12 oz. of maple syrup
  • 2 star anise
  • 2 cloves
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 6 peppercorns

 

Presentation:

Waffle

  • Mix all ingredients in the culinary robot and cook in a waffle iron.


Sauce

  • Put all ingredients in a saucepan and reduce by half or till desired consistency.
  • Glaze the waffle with the sauce. Add some basil leaves and serve with vanilla ice cream.
