World Beer Awards: 17 new medals!

Unibroue Continues to Shine Amongst the Best Breweries in the World!

Unibroue makes another splash at one of the most prestigious international beer competitions, the World Beer Awards in England. The Quebec-based brewery has garnered 17 medals this year, thereby retaining its position as one of the most awarded Quebec breweries at the World Beer Awards.

Unibroue has once again climbed on the podium with the best beers in the world thanks to its consistently exceptional quality and its innovative approach to beer making. This year, the brewery is especially proud of its performance, as one of its first creations, La Fin du Monde, was declared World's Best Belgian Style Tripel. Twenty years after its introduction, this beer remains one of Unibroue's most popular products, and has earned its claim to fame among the best on the planet. La Fin du Monde is the Canadian beer that has garnered the most medals and honours in international competitions.

Moreover, two recent additions to the Unibroue family who were competing for the first time this year, La Résolution and Éphémère Poire (pear), enjoyed a spectacular debut as they both won — The Americas' Best Belgian Style Strong (La Résolution), and The Americas' Best Fruit Flavored Beer (Éphémère Poire).

« Unibroue's success on the world stage is a constant source of pride, reveals Jerry Vietz, the brewery's Master Brewer, especially considering how dynamic the craft beer market is. We've never had to compete against so many breweries. Still, both our classics and our latest innovations come out winners every time. »

Other accolades received at the 2015 World Beer Awards include The Americas’ Best Vintage Dark Beer (17 Grande Réserve), three gold medals (Terrible, Maudite, Éphémère Pomme), three silver medals (Blanche de Chambly, Trois Pistoles, Noire de Chambly), and a bronze medal (Blonde de Chambly).

Unibroue is proud to be part of a Quebec craft brewing community that makes its mark at the international level, and would like to congratulate its fellow Quebec-based brewers À la fût (Co-Hop V, World's Best Kriek/Framboise), Le Trou du Diable (La Saison du tracteur, World's Best Bière de garde/Saison, and Les 4 Surfeurs de l'Apocalypso, World's Best IPA) and Pit Caribou (World's Best American Brown Ale).
